Trip to Ecoschool in Austria

Our grammar school is already a part of the project “Green School” for a couple of years, within the frame of which we try to make our school more ecological. On the present we are holders of the Green school flag in topic “Water.” This year our students started with the problematics of green, by which we managed to contact and cooperate with Gartenbauschule in Austrian town Langenlois. We were invited on the celebration of anniversary of this school, where a lot of entertaining and educational tipis and activities how to make our school more green were presented.
On the 9th of June 2017 we boarded the microbus and travelled to Austria. Our journey was very pleasant. After three ours we reached our destination and in addition to nice welcome, very delicious lunch was prepared for us – traditional Bratwurst, a sausage with French fries. After sack we had the opportunity to compete during a programme with variety of activities, where we created teams together with Austrian students, so that each of us could have practised his knowledge of German or English. We visited various locations and fulfilled tasks, for which we collected points for our teams. In addition to fun, there was also a barbecue where we could have roasted our own Brot stück.
After official programme we continued on our trip to AMETYST WELT, which is a nearby deposit of amethyst and where each os us could have digged - by means of small equipment - his own amethyst. Later, we returned to school again. There we had great a barbecue party with pleasant atmosphere and new friendships came into being. In the evening everybody went on an individual view of the town and before going to sleep we watched German film.
The day after, we visited small castle nearby, where we could have bought beautiful flowers, plants and organic hand-mande products. Prepared workshops provided our school with new inspiration and our stay in Langenloise was finished by pleasant sitting in local café. Of course, on our way home we made a stop in G3 Gerasdorf, a huge shopping centre, and then we continued to Vrbové.
