Our students in America

Students of Gymnasium J.B. Magina in 5th and 4th year, Filip Tomáška and Adrian Páleš, have participated in regional round of competition “Festival vedy a techniky” with their project “Ridelo – contactless cycling charger for mobile devices.”
They described they project as follows: “We had used old dynamo before, but after negative feedback we decided to completely remake the charger. We constructed the first contactless cycling charger for mobile devices in the world, by means of which you can charge for instance your mobile phone during your ride on bike. It does not have any impact on your speed like old dynamos which slowed it down and which many times produce unpleasant sounds. Our cycling charger starts its charging at 5km/h and it charges at the same intensity as classic charger. Actually, our sixth prototype weighs only something about 70 grams With this project, we succeeded in competition “Start-UpVŠEM Praha 2015,” where we took the first place, in competition Nápad Roku 2016, where we take 10th place in concurrence of 170 projects. Then in Czech Creative Business Cup, where we got among the 8 best projects and were nominated as one of the best 4 start-ups from Slovakia on Central European Start Up Awards. We have participated on the biggest start-up competition in Eastern Europe – Wolvessummit, where we were chosen from among 3000 start-ups. You can find all information concerning project on a webpage www.ridelo.eu.”
